Although I did a post on Kenya in October, I’m heading back. The eyes of the world are on Kenya, and although I don’t want this blog to be ruled by the latest news, there comes a time to pay attention!
For those that don’t know, there was violence following the recent Kenyan elections. The tensions are still there (the election was in December), and today’s BBC report states that violence has returned to some areas after some days of peace.
This isn’t a comprehensive list of posts – be sure to check out the following bloggers for previous and later posts. I’ll simply post in chronological order:
- Actually, I can’t link to an individual post here, but there are some posts from the last few days at the Huebner Family Website. Check out Ghost Town (Jan 2) and An interesting article regarding looting in Kenya… from today.
- An overview of What’s happening in Kenya? (Jan 3)
- A close up view of what’s going on in Nakuru (Jan 3)
- I can’t link to individual posts here either, but the post you should check out first is helpless vs. hopeless (Jan 7)
- Save Kenya – a video with pictures from the crisis and a call for prayer (Jan 7)
- Trying to figure out how to help in a post entitled The Work Goes On (Jan
- More people trying to figure out how to respond to the need
