I do believe I managed to have 26 different countries as well.

So enjoy this quick alphabetical tour of the world, and go leave a comment on a blog you’ve never commented on before!

And how about a similar story coming from Chile? Don’t miss the Exciting First Service!

And while we’re in Chile, check out this retreat – Catching Up: (First) Church Ladies’ Retreat

*phew* – and that’s only a few of the many blogs we watch down in South America! Keep track of these and many more on the home page here.

By the way, you’ll notice I have more posts here from Brazil than any other country. That’s because we still have more bloggers from Brazil than anywhere else in South America. However, some other countries are starting to challenge them – such as Ecuador and Peru!

You may or may not have noticed that there is now a page here featuring missionaries in South America. So in honour of the new page, we’re going to take a tour of South America and read some of the latest posts from our friends there.

First, from Argentina – Ministering with Wisdom. George writes: Name almost any activity, and you are sure to find a Christian organization somewhere that has created a corresponding "ministry": Wednesday Night Bowling Ministry, College Dorm Xbox Ministry, Texas Hold ‘Em Ministry, Dove Hunting Ministry, etc. To be charitable, we must admit that such programs can sometimes provide a framework for the development of community and may also serve to encourage people to begin acknowledging Christ in every area of life—even in the midst of entertainment. But…

Women in Peru

And out of Bolivia, read from football to commitment: I just returned from a five day evangelism outreach in Oruro. These events are the big highlights of my year. We plan for 9 months in advance, build relationships with local churches, do a lot of training events, invest a lot of our resources, and as a side note Oruro is 4 hours away from where we live, so…

And from Brazil, read Counting the Cost to Follow Christ: …to ask them to pray the ‘sinner’s prayer’ without having heard and understood the claims of Christ only leads to sycretization, confusion, and in the end a dead faith. So, from day one we sow the Word asking the hearers to count the cost before they make a decision to follow Christ. This led one family to a crisis of faith…

Let’s take a culinary visit to Chile with Food from Conf. (Part 6): Part of living on the mission field is learning to enjoy new foods and new ways to eat food. This is one dynamic in learning a new culture. We are happy to announce that adapting to Chilean food has NOT been a problem

This is really cool – a podcast out of Peru! Check out Our First Podcast from the Poe family.

Thanks for your interest in, and your prayers for, the people of South America!

It’s no small feat to keep a blog running for 5 years. But this year we have several more bloggers that are celebrating a half-decade. Feel free to drop by and offer them your congrats!

Quirey Life (Brazil) has more life than ever – they’ve been celebrating the birth of Jackson Turner Quirey.

The Poulette Family(Mexico) has been writing lately about Jesus, His death and Resurrection. Of course, the Poulettes have another newer blog – Mexico Movies, which has given many of us a great introduction to vlogging over the past 3 years.

Carroll Chronicles (Germany) is a bright family focused blog, writing about things like Married at the age of Five!? and Please DO Feed the Animals!

Comings Communiqué (Brazil) is a blog with rich variety. Read recent thoughts on prayer and some news items.

AGENText (Argentina) used to be mexiText. Still going strong with a fresh change of country, you can read about The Unexpected and Lacking Rhythm, Not Life

Erin’s Entry (Nigeria) is actually new around here, but not new to the blogosphere. Erin recently wrote about In Sickness and in Health…, and the post Last Friday… is long but not to be missed if you want to learn about Nigerian culture.

I have to give honourable mention to The Happenings in Madrid, which, although there hasn’t been a post in a while, has been a long time familiar face.

That’s right – Missionary-Blogs.com is now watching over 300 missionary blogs! From Argentina to the United Kingdom, we have missionaries from around the world who are sharing what God is doing in the nations. From Across The Miles to Yaaye’s Thawts, we’re visiting blogs to get a new perspective on the world.

And this site is growing in popularity too. Missionary-Blogs.com is now in the top 1% of most visited websites on the internet! Yes, you heard right. People from all over the world are visiting – from the USA, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Japan, Australia, Germany, and many more (those are currently the top 7).

There are some changes happening around here. You’ll be shocked to notice a drastically smaller blog list page. Don’t panic! This is going to lead to more blogs being listed, but it’s going to take time. The blogs are going to be listed on four seperate pages, with country listed (if available) (that means you’ll be able to search by country!). More blogs will be listed than ever before, starting with 260 once the four pages are complete. This will make it easier for me to keep track of and update – in chunks, rather than all at once.

The first page is done – the veterans. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the main page – the blogs there will change, but there will only be a sampling. We’ll see what happens there in the months ahead.

But I do need your help! You see, there are constantly blogs going offline. Missionaries returning home. New missionaries coming to the field. URLs changing. Names of blogs changing. It’s very hard to keep track of! And believe it or not, I’m human and I make mistakes (often, actually). So if you see any errors as these pages are built, or would like to suggest a change, addition or deletion, please let me know. And if you want to support this site, you can be the first one to put a few dollars in the tip jar.

Thanks for your patience, as this site grows little by little. Thanks to all of you who have kept me up to date and have been such a big help. And an extra BIG thanks to those of you who encourage, support, leave comments for, email, and pray for each of these missionary bloggers!
