26 Missionary Blogs (from A to Z)

by Jim on 21 February 2011

in Special themes

So I was just sitting here and wondering if I could make my very own A-Z list of missionary blogs.

All right, so it’s just another fun way to discover new blogs!  I admit, I cheated a bit with X.  But the Rapp family has to get some kind of a prize for their creative use of that misunderstood letter.

I do believe I managed to have 26 different countries as well.

So enjoy this quick alphabetical tour of the world, and go leave a comment on a blog you’ve never commented on before!  ;)

Every once in a while I like to feature our veteran bloggers.  It’s been a while – in fact, I don’t think I did it once in 2010!

So here are some recent posts from the bloggers who have been blogging the longest.  I especially focused on those that I haven’t written about in a while…

Making Disciples

25 September 2010

For the most part, missionaries want to obey Jesus’ command to make disciples (all right, if they don’t, are they missionaries?).  But how is that done?  What does it mean?  And how can we get outside our own desires and plans and see what Jesus would have us do? Today, let’s look closer at missionary [...]

These Titles Caught My Attention. That’s All.

12 May 2010

In the past I’ve posted about posts based on cool pictures – ones that caught my attention. This time I ignored content altogether – at least to start with – and just looked for titles that caught my attention. You know, other than "Our May Newsletter".  Or "Even more photos of our trip".  Or my [...]

5 years!

27 January 2010

Photo courtesy of light_arted It’s time to congratulate those who have completed 5 years of blogging!  5 years is still a good old age for a blog – in fact, these blogs are still older than this site (which started in 2005). I’ve done this in the past, but I’m not sure if I’ll do [...]

A tour of France

12 August 2008

I think it’s about time to take a blog tour of France!  I actually just want to introduce you to some of the blogs that are there – a wonderful variety of people, ideas and situations!  Actually, often these blogs aren’t just about France, as you will see… I just have to start with the [...]

They blog a LOT

20 August 2007

Photo courtesy of delgaudm I think it’s great to update your blog once a week.  If you don’t update once a month, people might think you’ve forgotten about them.  However, there are some bloggers that go above and beyond – several times a week, once a day – maybe even more!  These aren’t necessarily in [...]

Finally – the brand new blogs!

28 May 2007

We’re back to normality around here – last week I finally put the brand new missionary bloggers back online.  The list, that is – the blogs were never offline, of course.  Currently there are 65 blogs listed more or less all started in the last year.  So all our blog lists make 260 blogs, out [...]

How does the media see you?

22 February 2007

It’s always interesting to notice how the media portrays Christians, or groups that they think of as “Christians”. I’m thinking of movies, radio talk shows, news reports, the internet – anywhere people are likely to see something and associate it with “Christian”.  Then if you were to say you were a Christian, or that you [...]
