Football/Soccer on the Field (video)

Spectacularly popular, it’s no surprise that people are blogging about it all over the world!  I’m talking about Football (or Soccer, as it’s commonly called in places like New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and the USA).  Check out this video about a recent soccer school in Burkina Faso…


Sounds like a good sport for MKs to learn, right?  Or maybe just showing a little interest in kids playing fútbal could go a long way.

It’s great to go and watch a game together, like this one between Ecuador and Uruguay.  If you can’t go to the game, you can always watch it on TV – you’d be surprised what a community event it can be!

Missionaries on the 2006 World Cup

Every once in a while there are a whole bunch of bloggers around the world blogging about the same thing.  You know, a major natural disaster.  Christmas, or Easter.  But all those things are nothing, next to the deluge of posts on the 2006 FIFA World Cup.  Called Soccer in some countries, football in most, this sporting event is the most popular in th world.  Over a billion people will be watching!  Here’s a sampling of the missionary posts in honour of the occasion:
