What’s old is new again…

I like to write about new missionary blogs here in order to give them a bit of a “boost” as they start out in the great big world of cyberspace.  However, not all of the blogs that are added to the aggregator are new.  As a matter of fact, many are not – they’re old blogs that I *gasp* neglected to add!  So today I thought I’d introduce you to a few blogs that are new enough to me that you’ve never seen them on the blog list – but they’ve been around for a while.  Take for example:

  • Musings of a Mutating Missionary – her profile starts out by saying she’s a romantic.  She’s in Germany, and has been blogging since the middle of 2005.
  • The Youngs – Charles and Kristin are serving in Swaziland, Africa.  They’ve been blogging since August 2005.
  • And another one – Straight from Swaziland – thanks to Patrick, whose blog dates back to September 2005.
  • Wired Wisdom, started in June 2005, comes out of Romania and focuses a lot on adventures in homeschooling
  • Just one more – MexicoMinistry:  Mellberg’s Missionary Update.  This blog started in July 2005.  You can probably figure out the country

If you’re new to the world of blogs, you may wonder how blogs from mid-2005 are “old”.  Maybe old was the wrong term, but the “new” blogs I write about are usually from the last 6 months.  Maybe old was the wrong word, but in the world of missionary blogs, a year is like 1000 years…
